The First 75 days

Over the past 75 days a lot of things have changed in Tupelo’s Sports World, and I am one of those changes. Coming to the Tupelo Convention and Visitors Bureau has been a great opportunity. Spending the previous seven years in Tupelo running events at the Parks and Recreation Department has given me the opportunity to meet and get to know the travel/tourism business and the sports events rights holders industry. There has been virtually no setback in my transition to the Tupelo CVB.
Numerous events have kept our hotels and restaurants have been busy. New event planning during this time has been crucial. We want year round activities that will keep you coming to Tupelo. We know we have the ability to accommodate a lot of organizations with the venues that we have in and around Tupelo and we are lucky to be able to offer. We want these events coming to our city to see what we can offer them.
Relationships with the organizations and groups that currently do business in Tupelo are also crucial to the event planning process, we must know what’s available and what we must keep on the calendar, so we can plan accordingly when the new opportunities come calling.
I look forward to helping sports grow in Tupelo. The groundwork has been laid by the ones before me, and I plan to continue with that path.
What sports do you enjoy playing/watching?
I look forward your feedback.
