Dawgbone: Heck, what about Patterson....? He got in trouble under this coaching staff. Masoli hasn't broken any promises. If he comes in and gets in trouble, he's gone. Simple as that.

Rick: BCS schools have been taking troubled players from each other long before the BCS was even put in place. Let's not act like athletes suddenly started getting in trouble. In this day and age, everything is so public- it's a million wonders we have any eligible athletes to begin with.

I agree with Wyatt though, Nutt has to pull the trigger on this guy. He's a talented player and may not take over the starting gig, but wouldn't he be a nice weapon. We're not trying to build a team around him, he'd be kinda like an extra-credit project.

If BCS schools start taking troubled players from other BCS schools, the state of football in these conferences will lead to everyone having no options in dealing with problem recruits. This will in the long run ruin the sport. Be careful of what you wish for.

Masoli himself is only 5-11. But, this kid has been in and out of trouble since HS. I can't believe Nutt would bring him in. And, what does Stanley & Mackey think about that? Stanley's been getting ready to start and then a little over a month before the season Masoli's going to come in and be handed his job?

Unreal. OM has some kids like Witt Haggard who can be the emergency 3rd stringer. He had offers just chose to walk on.

Heck, what about Pat Patterson? He gets the boot for the trouble he got in and it's nowhere near the trouble Masoli has been in. Oh, Masoli's a QUARTERBACK and you need one. Gotcha.

LOL, I'm really glad Mullen turned down Masoli a few weeks back. We don't need that kind of poison and dissention in our locker room.

And, Matt, wonder why ol' Cotton left anyway? Rats are jumping ship in Oxford.
